Christmas Is Coming

Well....it seems I post about every 6 months. Here it is, a couple of weeks til Christmas. My family is arriving next week. The cleaning ladies come next Thursday, my sister arrives on Friday, my mom and step dad on Sunday and my daughter and son-in-law on the 23rd. When my sister gets in we will go shopping to finish hers and mine. Hopefully, I won't have too much to do and I can go get a manicure while she shops. Well, I will leave this hanging for now. Hopefully, I will check in again before Christmas.

I Can't Believe It Has Been Sooo Loooonng!!

I just signed on again and can't believe that my last post was before my surgery. Well, I finally had my surgery on January 25. The huge cyst was BENIGN!!! What a relief!! I woke up in recovery with the most amazing nurses on the planet. One of them told me that she stared crying when the news came back that it was not cancerous. She said that anytime Dr. Rotmensch (he is the gyn oncologist) comes down from Chicago for a surgery, it isn't good news. I know God was in that OR. I was so scared going in. I told my Dr. that there were too many people praying for me for it to be cancer.

Well, now for some recent news. I leave on July 5 for Guntersville, AL. My Aunt Barbara is having a reunion for all the cousins in my family. We haven't been together since my grandfather died in 1955. Some of us were together in 1965 when my grandmother died but not all. We are all looking forward to it. I think there will only be 3 out of 12 that won't be there. My mom and step-dad are coming to my house on July 3 and we will celebrate the 4th here and leave for Alabama early on the 5th. I think we will all enjoy it. More news when I return. Maybe I can also learn to post pictures. lol

Upcoming Surgery

Well, I am still trying to get a surgery date (complete hysterectomy, due to a huge cyst). The surgery scheduler at the oncologist's office is a real witch. She was supposed to call me on Monday. I have left 4 messages. She finally deigned to pick up her phone today and proceeded to tell me that when she had a date she would let me know. Not even nice about it.

I am really scared about this surgery. I have reached the point though that I just want it OVER NOW!!! I do feel somewhat better. My cousin, Mike Oney called me and prayed with me over the phone. I felt an immediate relief. He is a minister in the Assembly of God. I really felt God listened to him when he prayed. I have several ministers in my family but Mike is the only one who has shown that he truly cares. Gotta love him.

Well, I guess I will close this for now. I'm just starting to blog and I guess this is as good a time as any to start putting my feelings out there.
